12 DEGREES.

February 1st, 2010 § 5 Comments

The foreground was Session Road beside La Azotea around 9pm. Sitting where I was would have allowed one to view the movements happening on the busy street – people passing by, each wearing a thick jacket or coat or leather, fighting back the coldest air at 12 degrees.

You’ll hear the amplified guitar playing of a blind man just to the left side of the entrance. Perhaps, a tug from the heart was the most appropriate way to describe it, had you not experienced it everyday. Not to mention the occasional pauses from our conversation because outside, the guitar man was playing “Love” by The Beatles.

If only to hum and sing some lines in a whisper – we paused within the moment of that famous Beatles song.

Thank you, Heather. When you visit Session Road, you will pass by that corner where he usually plays in the evening.

    hi, cha!

i didn’t know you have your blog site. whoa! beautiful design unlike mine. i had to rely on available templates. i still have to read most of the entries but this one has depth and brevity. labsit.

what i aspire for in anything is simplicity: simple lines, simple thoughts, simple home and simple life. alas, i always end up having a sort of “convoluted” response to anything. i think it has something to do with my past life.

i thought i was once a tribe person, an igorot for that matter; hence, my propensity for, well, tribal stuffs and approaches. this was exacerbated by my work exposure at citem and from a previous work on handicraft promotion and during those years when i was a “japayuki” doing cultural dances, too. ah, that was in the 3rd quarter of the 70s.

i just wish i could shrug off this propensity and be at home in simple desires and environment.

    salamat po,
    art
